ChristianaCare Middletown Pediatrics is currently seeking a motivated, team player who is self-driven in their career as a Medical Assistant.
You would be joining a fantastic care team that includes attending physicians, physician residents, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistant, and office assistants.
Work Schedule:
- Practice Hours, Monday-Friday; 7:30am - 5:00pm
- Rotating Weekend shift: Saturday and Sunday 8-12
- Working hours:, 4 nine hour shifts and 1 four hour shift
Duties / Responsibilities:
As a medical assistant you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
